About us

Based in Bozeman, Montana for over 75 years, Tix Soldering Solutions (previously known as Allied MFG corp) has a deep-rooted Montana heritage. Tix solder was originally created in 1947 by William J. Sullivan (Sully) for jewelry repair. Our customers have since discovered countless uses for our Solder, Flux, and Anti-flux, spanning from industrial applications to hobbies. We serve plumbers, stained glass artists, sculptural metalsmiths, jewelers, and band instrument manufacturers to name a few.

In 1975, Sully took Sharon Harvey under his wing, fostering a close friendship as he acted as both her employer and mentor. Following Sully’s passing in 2000, Sharon inherited Allied MFG Corp.

In 2024, Allied MFG Corp dissolved and in its place, Tix Soldering Solutions was created. Sharon entrusted me, her grandson to continue the family solder and flux manufacturing legacy– a legacy built on exceptional quality, customer service, innovation, and a strong sense of Montana community.

To me, Tix is more than just a business with a product. As a 3rd generation plumber, metalsmith and visual artist, I understand the necessity of quality soldering products across multiple applications; these are products that I use in my own work.

At 83, my Grandma Sharon is still an integral part of Tix Soldering Solutions whether it's in referencing recipes for flux and solder, helping me package orders, handling customer service, or helping me to troubleshoot our equipment.

To each and every one of our customers, we extend our deepest gratitude. You are not just our clients; you are integral members of our Tix Soldering Solutions family and without your support, we would not be able to thrive as we do.

Sincerely,

Trent Harvey
